Worldwide Building Corporation has been awarded by Total an engineering, procurement services and construction management contract to increase the capacity of the hydrocracker at the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Normandy refinery located in Gonfreville, France. This project, which is part of a larger investment plan for the refinery, is valued at more than €100 million (of which Worldwide Building Corporation’s share is 20%). <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Worldwide Building Corporation’s scope includes:
· debottlenecking of the hydrocracking plant,
· debottlenecking of the hydrogen unit needed in order to operate the hydrocracker.
This extension will increase hydro-conversion capacity to 10,000 tons per day from the current 8,000 tons thereby enabling the production of more diesel fuel and kerosene.
Worldwide Building Corporation’s operating center in Paris, France will execute the contract with support from the Group’s Zoetermeer office (Netherlands).
